Hello Fish Keepers and Fish Peepers,​

PK Endlers has been working on fish farm upgrades this Spring, made possible by your purchases. We're converting all aquariums to glass from food grade #5 plastic. 3/4 of the fish farm is now converted. This was done for two reasons:

 

1. to eliminate microplastic accumulation is the fish, and

2. to stop the freshwater plants that were growing INTO the plastic tank walls - a risk for tank failure.  

​

Even utilizing 1/2 price new tank and used tank sales, the conversation hasn't been cheap - but it has been worth it. The fish seem to enjoy seeing me and there surroundings - call it enrichment activities for them, lol. I can appreciate their beauty, instead of them being hidden away. I can also keep a better eye on the fish and their tanks conditions.

 

Finally, I am upgrading the fish room lights and adding translucent coroplast covers (to cut down on humidity while letting the light in) to all 62 tanks, and restructuring my usable space. That's always a work in progress.

BTW - all the old discarded plastic tanks are being recycled by my spouse; they won't be filling up a landfill somewhere. He'll be filling them up instead, with his collections of tools, electronics, etc. The balance will get donated to the "still good shed" at a nearby town recycling center - because who doesn't need to store stuff?

• USPS Priority 4-Day Shipping for live fish/plants/inverts & USPS Medium Flat Rate Shipping available April - October.

• FedEx 2-Day Overnight Shipping and Local Pick-up (by appointment only) are available year 'round.

• ​PK Endlers ships non-US Holiday Mondays, with heat or ice packs (as appropriate for the season). 

  • PRO TIP: If you cannot be home at time of delivery

    • have someone else receive the package OR

    • call your local post office and have the package held there for pick up OR

    • have your package delivered to you at your workplace.
